Female entrepreneurs often struggle to launch an online coaching practice.

Believe me, I know.

When I was starting out, the thought of becoming the face of my own coaching brand was downright TERRIFYING. I mean, I doubted *everything* about my business acumen and fell asleep most nights wondering if I was even worthy of meeting clients.

7 years later, I’ve helped hundreds of female entrepreneurs leverage their passion to create meaningful, successful online businesses. Crazy right? But seriously, mamas, it’s TOTALLY doable. Just keep a few things in mind as you begin to delight the digital space with your one-of-a-kind awesome sauce.

Embrace discomfort in the early days

The first step can be hard. Despite being a subject matter expert and nailing coaching training, many women are kinda lost when it comes to monetizing their knowledge. And that’s TOTALLY okay!

Some fear they’re not “good” enough to bank $10k+ a month in coaching fees. (I know I did.) I worried ALL the time about where clients would come from since the LAST thing I wanted to be was sleazy or sales-y in my sales approach. I had a visceral disdain for becoming the identity of my brand. ????????

Sound familiar?

It doesn’t have to be so intimidating. The first step to starting an online coaching business is overcoming imposter syndrome. Y’know, that judgy voice in your head calling you a fraud despite years of expertise, glowing testimonials, and a proven track record of success. “Situations such as taking on a new role often lead to imposter syndrome,” explain the fine folks at American Nurse Today.

Isn’t that exactly what you’re doing in creating a coaching business? ????????

You really CAN do this.

Try to ignore those waves of insecurity you haven’t felt since high school. You’re a grown-a$$ woman now and capable of critical thought. Ask yourself, “Is there any TRUTH to what I’m feeling right now?” Not much, likely. Have your resume handy and remind yourself of your credentials. You earned a seat at the table, woman. Enjoy the meal.

That said, this would be a perfect time to embrace your inner child and ask for a little help. Find a mentor who can show you the ropes so you avoid wasting time with annoying stumbles. That person is well-positioned to help you flesh out the “big idea,” so ASK QUESTIONS.

Landing your first clients may be a challenge, but don’t let imposter syndrome creep back in. Reach out to your personal and professional networks and let them know you’re offering free 15-minute coaching sessions. Start a blog, guest on podcasts, offer workshops — all of which will increase your credibility and exposure.

Unfortunately, dedication only gets you so far.

You’re obviously passionate about your soon-to-be rockin’ online coaching business, which is freakin awesome. Seriously. But to build a successful business and really help people you’re gonna need to identify a *specific problem* that a group of people faces.

Got it? Awesome.

Now, how can YOU help the problem go away? Write that down, because it’s super, duper important. Don’t worry about perfect grammar or eloquent prose, just RECORD IT somehow. The goal right now is to build a blueprint for a product that satisfies your customers’ needs.

Time to renovate your digital home.

All those soon-to-be happy clients are gonna need to find you somewhere, so build a website using simple platforms like WordPress, Wix, or Squarespace. Fill it with client-focused content that clearly explains how you can improve their lives. Got a testimonial or two? We wanna read them!!

What’s in a name? Um, a lot.

Choosing a name for your business is an important step in the process, so don’t rush it! Here are some things to keep in mind as you christen this vessel:

  • Since your coaching program will function primarily online the name must be available for registration both in your state and online, so make sure the domain isn’t taken.
  • Get your legal ducks in a row. Find an affordable lawyer to draw up a simple coaching contract outlining your services.
  • Ask him or her to help you define a business structure that will dictate the legal and tax requirements you need to meet. You’ll likely choose either a sole proprietorship, corporation, partnership, limited liability company (LLC).

Aaaand BOOM! You’re on your way to a meaningful, lucrative coaching business that actually HELPS people. Think it’s too good to be true? Think again. My 30 Days to Launch coaching program is designed for women who feel stuck building their businesses alone. I call it analysis paralysis. Yes, it rhymes, which is fun. Much less so: PREVENTING YOU FROM MOVING FORWARD. Listen, I have a feeling you have LOTS of ideas but not a clue which one to run with first.

This course is seriously for you.

Because it provides strategy, accountability, and community to help you create the launch of your dreams. I reveal exactly how to get unstuck, use simple and effective marketing, and gain visibility.

Most importantly. Don’t let this overwhelm you

I know it can be scary. But for reals: it was only when I stepped in the face of that fear and stopped thinking about my dream that I could start living my passion: supporting ambitious women like you to be powerful co-creators and DO LIFE instead of letting life happen to them.

It’s totally possible to create a high-ticket program you are proud of by using a simple, low-tech strategy to get clients without hustling all day.

There ARE no imposters. Just you and your magnificent gifts which the world is yearning for. Let’s do this!!
